NO OVEN SOURDOUGH PIZZA !
IT'S quick, healthy and tasty.
Sourdough is made when the wheat flour is fermented in a warm atmosphere for a couple of hours (say more than 7 hrs). Why is sourdough healthy ? It is a great source of flora in the gut which means fermented foods contain good bacteria that help your gut. Keeps your gut clean and healthy.
Sourdough pizza doesn't require any yeast added to it. I have not even used an oven. It is a thin crust pizza with lots of veggies and some cheese .
What do we need ?
Sourdough (wheat), vegetables of your choice, oil for brushing, cheese (cheddar & mozzarella), pizza sauce.
Method:
1. Prepare a dough with wheat and store it in a warm place for more than 7-8 hrs so that it ferments and leaves an airy - porous texture. You can see the pictures attached.
2. Once your sourdough is ready, make it soft and roll it flat and mark the edges with finger dents.
3. Place this on a hot pan and just heat it up for just 30 seconds to partially cook the flat bread. (Do not cook the flat bread completely)
4. Now take it off the pan and apply the pizza sauce, you can spread your vegetables. I have used sweetcorn, tomatoes and capsicum.
5. You can add olives, jalepenos, onions, babycorn etc
6. Spread some cheese all over as shown in the picture (I have used cheddar and mozzarella).
7. Heat your pan for a minute, the pan shouldn't be too hot, it has to be warm enough to place your finger tips. Brush some oil onto he pan and the pizza ends.
8. Place the pizza and close it with a lid. You can leave the pizza to finish within 8-10 mins in low heat.
9. Your pizza is ready to serve❤️
