VEGAN MAYONNAISE 👍
Why do we use mayonnaise? To enhance the flavours of various vegetables. Do we really need a Plant based mayonnaise ? Yes, using a regular mayonnaise can be a health concern. Especially to the ones who are prone to the risk of cholesterol spikes, sugar spikes, obesity, PCOS and various other issues. Ingredients : Pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, sunflower seeds, garlic pods, mustard oil, peppercorns, honey or raw sugar, lime and salt. 🦋Pumpkin seeds are rich in iron, Vit K, magnesium, potassium, fiber, protein and fats (MUFA & PUFA). 🦋Melon seeds are rich in Niacin, iron, calcium, protein, magnesium, phosphorous, manganese, zinc, and healthy fats. 🦋 Sunflower seeds are rich in iron, Vit B6, calcium, magnesium, fiber, potassium, protein and healthy fats. All the seeds contain little amount of sodium. This is natural form of sodium and is hence healthy in moderation.
Method: 1. For one cup of mayonnaise, you can take equal proportions of the seeds. 3 tablespoons of each seed is good enough to yield one cup of mayonnaise. 2. Soak all the seeds for about 4 to 6 hours. 3. After the soaking time, you can add the seeds into the blender along with 3 to 4 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon mustard oil, half a teaspoon of honey or raw sugar, 1 teaspoon of lime, little salt and whole peppercorns. Blend this smooth. 4. The vegan mayonnaise is ready. It's that quick and simple.
Tip : You can add some water to the mixture to make it into a pouring consistency for your salad dressings. You can also use this mayonnaise for enhancing the texture of your Indian gravy dishes.
